The hotel had a charming and cozy decoration that made me feel right at home. The general areas were immaculately maintained and had a warm and inviting atmosphere. It was easy for senior people like me to navigate around the hotel, with clear signage and accessible facilities.
It would have been even better if the children working there could have been a bit more attentive to the needs of senior guests.

We loved the warm and cute atmosphere of the traditional Devon thatch hotel. The old beams added to the cozy feel. We had to leave early, but the owner Doug was friendly and accommodating, leaving out breakfast for us. The homemade muesli, toast, and English breakfast options were delicious. The hotel's location in a quiet and peaceful village made for a restful stay.
Everything is what we need and want.

the hosts were incredibly welcoming, offering us an early check-in and providing tea and biscuits upon arrival. the location was perfect for a romantic escape, with plenty of nearby activities and attractions to explore.
The roads to and from the location were narrow, making it a bit difficult to navigate. Plus, the rooms were a bit small for our liking, and the lack of flexibility with breakfast times meant we missed out on the delicious-sounding full English breakfast.

The double room was amazing! It had a cozy seating area where we could unwind after a long day. Plus, having a tea/coffee maker right there was so convenient. And let's not forget the comfy bathrobes - pure indulgence!
The only thing I didn't love was that the single room only had a DVD player. I personally prefer a CD player, but I know others may still enjoy watching movies.

I recently stayed at a charming, traditional Devon thatch cottage with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The interior was cosy and filled with old beams, giving it a lovely traditional feel. The owner, Doug, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Even though I had to leave early in the morning, before breakfast time, Doug made sure to leave some breakfast out for me. Highly recommended!
Felt so welcome, no complaints.

This place was like stepping into a cozy, peaceful oasis. The breakfast spread was mind-blowing, with homemade mousley, tasty toast, English breakfast, and even a veggie option. The way they set the table for my brother-in-law and his wife was super sweet. The interior had an amazing rustic charm, with old beams and a welcoming atmosphere. Doug and Adrian were the most helpful and friendly hosts, and their cute dogs and cat added an extra touch of sweetness.
